I always dreamed of Holland as the land of tulips and windmills. Now I not only got to fulfill my dream but even painted this one! It was so much fun walking through this quaint town in the Netherlands. People were so kind and curious about watching the process.

I painted this scene in oil on canvas board plein air from an outcropping in a quiet corner of the Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands on a day trip to the area from Amsterdam. It depicts the beautiful tulip fields planted to replenish those needed to maintain the gardens as well as around the world. Not only did they look beautiful, they smelled wonderful as well.

This is an Acrylic painting I did on an art trip to Delft, Netherlands. It was quite cold, hence the winter parka, but so nice to paint on site. There are canal throughout Holland and really made for a lovely reflective scene.

Ciao Dory was painted on the Italian Riviera in the beautiful town on Santa Margarita. I noticed this lovely dory in the small marina because of it's bright colors. The red, green, and white are the colors of the Italian flag.

I've had a constant dream of seeing, in person, my great-uncle's famous works in the Louvre and throughout France. Being a persistent person I finally realized that dream in spades! Yearly, I join other artists at a European destination to taste the food, the culture, and capture our experience live and in living color.
