Dr Henning Gaissert and Joyce's Lungs

I gave this painting to Dr Henning Gaissert, my Cardiothoracic Surgeon.  He performed three lung resections on me in 2012. 

I made the painting in 2014 after I finally recovered. Back then, I gave him a smaller copy. Now I gave him the original as a retirement gift. Hw just retired from MGH/NWH (Mass General Hospital/ Newton Wellesley Hospital) after saving my life twice which he has also done for many others. 

Dr. Gaissert sent me the nicest Thank You note. Now he's off hiking through Europe after such a long distinguished career. I wonder if he'll enjoy the wonderful European venues that I have painted.
